Programming

Manhattan Neighborhood Network’s programs reflect just a sample of the diverse social, political, ethnic, and artistic communities that thrive in Manhattan. Individuals and groups submit video programs that MNN cablecasts free of charge. All programming is uncensored and non-commercial.

Manhattan Neighborhood Network (MNN) is a non-profit organization that broadcasts programming on four public access stations in Manhattan. Our diverse shows include but aren’t limited to news, talk shows, interviews, debates, documentaries, travelogues, live music, and sketch comedy. Our programs range from local to international in scope, and reach up to 3 million viewers around Manhattan.

Broadcasting more than 1200 active shows in 20 languages, 24 hours a day, MNN programming reflects the diverse communities that make up our borough. We also stream all our programming live on MNN.org so many of our shows now reach a national and international audience. Sometimes controversial, always gritty and real, MNN is the pulse of New York City, because our programming is made by and for New Yorkers.

Non-commercial programming is available in Manhattan through Time Warner’s Public Access Cable (Channels 34, 56, 57 and 67) and RCN Cable (Channels 83, 84, 85, and 86). Check the MNN online schedule for up-to-date listings.

Anyone can submit a show to MNN for air as a series or special, though priority is given to Manhattan residents and non-profits. Find out more.

Workshops and Facilities

MNN offers free workshops in television production for Manhattan residents and special group workshops for non-profit organizations based in Manhattan. Individuals and groups that have completed requisite training are also able to use the studios and pre- and post-production equipment for public access programs.
